Dolls Kill is known for its bold, unconventional aesthetic, and I played a key role in expanding its product offerings beyond fashion into home and licensed goods. Each year, we launched an average of 10 seasonal and holiday collections, designed specifically for the Dolls Kill customer.

Trend Research & Concept Development
Conducted market and trend analysis through competitor research, Etsy, and TikTok trends.
Collaborated with vendors to adapt existing products to the Dolls Kill aesthetic.
Developed product concepts aligned with brand identity and licensed collaborations.
Design & Product Development
Created highly technical CADs and detailed production files in Illustrator.
Managed dye sublimation, placement printing, and intricate design applications.
Worked cross-functionally with creative, sourcing, and licensing teams to bring collections to market.

Home and Licensed goods collections launch every holiday and seasonally leading to on average 10 collections annually, designed specifically for the Dolls Kill Customer.
Trend Research and design development involves working with vendors for new basic products we can edit to our esthetic, referencing competitors & Etsy / TikTok Creatures and home trend reports.
Development for each collection starts with a basic layout of required designs based on category, Doll, market research & feedback, Lead Designer’s & Creative Lead & Owner’s Direction.
Ideas and rough sketches are fine tuned & Collaborative / Licensed art requests begin. R&D starts with the vendors for an idea and to negotiate costing, MOQs, Mold & Sample fees, Turnaround times, Freight/ Tariffs & Warehousing.
Within 1-2 weeks of Research and CAD design, the line is reviewed by Buyers and Creative Director to start the production for an average of 3 month turnaround from design to launch.
Tech packs are created through templated Illustrator files to include detailed CADS, Measurements, BOM, Due Dates, Art Assets to scale, Materials, packaging and branding.
Sample reviews daily with instant feedback for factory and art edits within 24 hours with constant costing updates based on changes.
On average 2-3 samples would get us to the approved pre-production sample, including finalized branding and packaging.
Prior to bulk completion, the TOP representing BULK will be compared to the pre-approved sample to then finalize production.
